Organista: Przemysław Kapituła.

Przemysław Kapituła was born in 1965 in Warsaw. In 1990 he finished Musical Academy of Fryderyk Chopin in Warsaw, in class of organs of prof. Józef Serafin. He took private piano lessons from prof. Kajetan Mochtak and attended master courses managed by professors; N.Danby,D.Roth, M.Slechta, Z.Satmary, G.Bovet. For many years he co-operated with prof. Dr hab. Jerzy Erdman.
The artist gives about 120 concerts a year on regular basis in Poland, as well as abroad (Austria, Argentina, Bulgaria, Belgium, Brasil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Moldavia, Monaco, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovac Republic, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Uruguay), mostly during the most important European organ festivals. His recitals were prized by flattery of the press (Süddeutsche Zeitung, Musica Sacra, L'Arena, Schwabischezeitung, DNA, La Stampa, Münchner Merkum, Südkurier and many others). The artist co-operates with solists, choirs and orchestras. A special place in his interests is taken by the works of prominent Polish organ artists: Feliks Nowowiejski (1877-1946) and Mieczysław Surzyński (1866-1924). Mr Kapitula was the first musician after WW II to play Surzyński's g-moll concert for organs and orchestra.
The musician is a continuator of musical heritage connected with the Archicathedral of St. John in Warsaw. Przemysław Kapituła has never been, is not and does not intend to be an organist of the Warsaw Cathedral. He gives the lectures concerning interpretation of organ music at the master courses in Italy.
As a chairman of Festival of Sacral Music Foundation, he is organiser 520 concerts every year for 35.000 people, he is the initiator and the director general, both of International Festival of Sacral Music in Warsaw and International Festival of Organ Music "Organs of Achicathedral" in Warsaw. The musician is also a recognised producer and animator of many cultural events in his home town Warsaw and throughout Poland. He is the organiser of cycles of concerts "Organs of St. Whiliam's Church", "Organs of Mazovia", "Organs of Downtown", "Religious Music in Archicathedral of Warsaw" and others. He was also the initiator of renovation of historical organs located in St. Whiliam's Church in Warsaw.
The artist made many radio and TV recordings. He has also given out a CD record. Przemysław Kapituła is the member of Church Music Committee of Warsaw's Archdiocese. From 1999 to 2001 he was the member of Board of Culture of Wola District in Warsaw. He published all organ compositions of Feliks Nowowiejski and Mieczysław Surzyński on CD records.
