Cinamomo

Especie originaria del centro y sur de Asia. El cinamomo es un árbol de tamaño medio y de hoja caduca. Esta especie de crecimiento rápido está ampliamente distribuida por el mundo como árbol ornamental. Lo más llamativo de estos árboles es su abundante y aromática floración de color lila además de sus frutos globosos los cuales permanecen durante largo tiempo en el árbol incluso durante la época invernal. Estos frutos son venenosos, a veces han provocado intoxicación en animales de compañía, y hay que tener cuidado con ellos cuando están en el suelo porque pueden provocar algún resbalón.

El cinamomo desarrolla una copa de 4 a 8 metros de diámetro y en forma de sombrilla, sus hojas son compuestas y se utilizan en la industria textil. En algunos países asiáticos se considera un árbol sagrado.

Species originating from the Center and South of Asia. The cinnamomum is a medium size tree with a wild leek leaves. This specie grows rapidly and is widely distributed by the world as an ornamental tree. The most striking aspect of this tree is the abundant and aromatic flower in lilac color in addition to the large fruits which remains for a long period of the tree even during winter. These fruits are poisonous, they are have even intoxicated small domestic animals, one must be careful with them when they are on the ground since they can also lead people to slip. 

The cinnamomum’s canopy can attain a diameter of 4 to 8 meters and it is umbrella-shaped, the leaves are large and are also used in the textile industry. In some Asian countries, it is considered as a sacred tree.
